LiquorPros has worked with a variety of retail liquor, grocery and convenience stores  all across the state of Colorado. Most retail liquor stores require a Colorado Retail Liquor License, which permits the sale to the public of malt, vinous, and spiritous liquors in sealed containers for consumption off the premises. Other retail stores, like grocery stores, drugstores, and convenience stores, will often seek a Fermented Malt Beverage (FMB) Liquor License to sell beer with more than .5% alcohol by weight for off-premise consumption. Of course, all of these stores sell different products and have varying circumstances, so it is always possible that your business may require a different type of liquor license. Contact your attorney to find out what type of license your business needs, and what requirements there are for your situation. You can also read our Types of Liquor Licenses page for more information about other common kinds of liquor licenses in the state of Colorado.
